Jap art
Posted by KING OF NIGERIA | 6 Mar, 2009A few weeks ago, in art class, our teacher told us to split up into small groups for a project. Being a Japanophile, she had each group research the art of an era, in Japan. Our group decided to research the Edo era, because it was the easiest to pronounce. It was due, about an hour into class, today, meaning that we had an hour to make some last minute changes. Unfortunately, we had to include a few sketches, by us, which emulates the art style of the period we're researching, so I whipped this up, in about two minutes:

Since I didn't even research anything about the Edo period, all I knew was that they liked to draw random landscapes. But since I suck at drawing landscapes, I just went over this piece of paper with black colored pencil and drew space. One of my teammates crumpled it up and threw it at another group. :( Is it really that bad?
Also, if you look closely enough, you might notice the cockstellation that I masterfully hid inside the drawing. :>
